JOB FOR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A group of companies in the civil and building engineering construction industry. It has recently made strategic acquisitions intended to position the group as the leading player in the construction sector of the Nigerian economy. They wish to recruit capable and experienced personnel to fill the under listed leadership positions required to drive the group's transformation strategy.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

LOCATION: APAPA, LAGOS STATE


RELATIONSHIP
• The CEO will report to the Chairman and the Board of Directors of the group and have responsibility for the overall day ~ to• day operations of the company.



JOB DESCRIPTIONS
• Overall responsibility for company performance.
• Implementation of the strategic plans of the company.
• Develop and manage business development relationships.
• Coordinates activities of and reports from, Zonal operations managers.
• Manage the company's resources within approved guidelines.
• Formulate policies and make recommendation to the Board.
• Give direction and leadership in the achievement of the company's vision and mission statements.
• Overall responsibility for the successful execution f all projects handled by the company including project administration, negotiations, bids, billings and collections


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A good first degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical
• A minimum of 15 years post qualification experience of which 5 must be in a senior management position.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate ability to work under pressure and have an impressive track record of achievement in a reputable civil and building engineering construction company.
• Must be between 40 and 45 years of age,


PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• High level of ability to quickly and immediately identify issues which affect current projects and solutions.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills are critical.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary team in building rapport with high profile officials of regulatory authorities, customers and other relevant stakeholders in identifying and managing risks
• Ability to identify and seize business opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Must demonstrate versatility and creativity.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Power Point etc).
